We are the Purdue Chapter, formally known as the “Mother Chapter”, of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). As a student-managed and non-profit STEM organization, our primary mission is to “increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community." Each year, we enact on our mission by providing professional, academic, social and community outreach opportunities to help our members reach their absolute potential as a student, leader and engineer.

2022-2023 Chapter Goals

Our 2021-2022 chapter goals are based primarily on our chapter directives, which is to I.G.N.I.T.E. the Torch.

1. Ignite

Increase visibility on campus.

Give back to our community.

3. Network

Network on chapter, regional, and national levels.

4. Invest

Invest in membership engagement.

5. Transition

Transition post Covid-19 era.

6. Empower

Empower members to grow professionally and personally.
